MacKinnon, 28, set new career highs with 51 goals, 89 assists, and 140 points in 82 games with the Avalanche during the 2023-24 regular season. The Halifax, Nova Scotia product added four goals and 14 points in 11 games with the Avs in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
MacKinnon is the second player in Avalanche history to win the award after Joe Sakic in 2001.
