Australian actor Jordan Rodrigues gets inspired by the mix of tastes, culture and nature in Colorado
Jordan Rodrigues, fresh from recording an audition self-tape – the daily grind for an Australian actor in Los Angeles – would probably rather be mountain biking than doing a phone interview.
Rodrigues has just returned from a trip to Colorado, a state he’s discovered is a playground of food, culture and, most importantly, outdoor thrills. “It was awesome,” he says.the beer was beckoning. “Co-owner Jordan is super-knowledgeable about everything, and they’re just very passionate about their beer there,” Rodrigues says.
The museum, Rodrigues says, is “really, really unique”. He recommends devoting several hours to exploring its collections, which include significant collections of Indigenous American art.When it was time to give into his craving for some wide-open spaces, Rodrigues took the half-hour drive to Boulder. “It’s a happening place,” he says.
“We didn’t really break a sweat! It was beautiful. You got to see all the different landscapes that Boulder has to offer: the rocks, the mountain, the trees, the water. It was quite serene. You just feel like you’re flying.”, for some snowboarding. “It was excellent; they have all sorts of different levels,” Rodrigues says. “We pretty much snowboarded all day and didn’t want to leave.”not far from Winter Park.
