KUALA LUMPUR: A 19-year-old college student was nabbed for allegedly distributing"ganja brownies".
Acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Yahaya Othman said the suspect was detained following a raid at Jalan 9 in the city at about 5pm on March 25."We believe the male student has been selling ganja brownies for about three months," he said in a statement on Friday ."We are investigating where he obtained the cannabis.Meanwhile, in another raid, a 31-year-old Indonesian Man was detained along with an array of drugs following a raid in Subang Jaya on March 27.
"A total of 56kg of cannabis worth RM166,000 and 1kg of syabu worth RM26,000 were seized in the raid. "The cannabis was buried inside a one metre-deep hole located at a nearby clearing," DCP Yahaya said."We will investigate further.DCP Yahaya said efforts to track down the remaining members of both syndicates were still ongoing.He urged the public to cooperate with the police by supplying information on illegal activities, especially drug-related ones."Cooperation between the police and public is vital in curbing crime," he said.
