The Nittany Lions erased a 10-0 first-quarter lead by Ohio State with two touchdowns in the second quarter to give the hosts a 14-13 halftime lead. Stroud-to-Cade Stover major on the next play. But another 75-yard Ohio State scoring drive capped by another Handerson run — this one of seven yards — pushed the game out of reach for good.
