Provincial health officials said Tuesday that 264 lab\u002Dconfirmed cases have been connected to the outbreak.
Additionally, sanitizing liquid was improperly mixed, resulting in a zero per cent concentration, and the kitchen was transporting cold foods for more than 90 minutes without proper temperature control.
Joffe said the issues outlined in the latest report are a “flag” but said they’re only one piece of the comprehensive investigation AHS officials are conducting. As soon as the outbreak was identified, AHS ordered the kitchen closed, a move Joffe says was integral to limiting additional spread of the infection.
Health Minister Adriana LaGrange said officials are working to ensure an outbreak like this doesn’t occur again.
