CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Four people are facing a string of drug trafficking charges following a Charlottetown home search which yielded cocaine, meth, fentanyl and a handgun on Thursday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m. on March 21, police executed a search warrant at a home on Doncaster Avenue, arresting seven people at the scene and seizing the following:More than $7,400 cash; andThree of the people were released without charges, two others, a 35-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Charlottetown, were each charged with trafficking cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl.
In addition, a 19-year-old Ontario man has been charged with four counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking of oxycodone, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl. A second 19-year-old Ontario man has also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking crack cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl and the following additional charges:Carrying a concealed weapon;Possession of a loaded restricted firearm; andThe two Ontario men remain in custody for future court appearances.
