CNN Philippines to go off air after utility staff tests positive for coronavirus COVID19
MANILA - CNN Philippines said it will go off air beginning Tuesday evening after a member of its utility staff tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 .
In a statement, the company said it will temporarily go off air to give way to the disinfection of its office in Mandaluyong City. "As a precaution and for everybody's safety, we are temporarily going off the air starting tonight to disinfect the CNN Philippines office in Mandaluyong," it said. BREAKING NEWS: We have received word that a member of our utility staff has tested positive for COVID-19.

As of Tuesday, the Philippines recorded 1,540 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, marking its third highest single-day spike since the pandemic began.A total of 1,309 have died in the country due to the disease, while 12,386 others have recovered.
