They’ve also been able to expand the services of a general practitioner of oncology.
The Yarmouth Regional Hospital has seen virtual care access increase from 144 visits by patients in 2019 to a predicted 238 annual visits by the end of the 2022-23 fiscal year. The oncology pharmacy team at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital is able to provide more efficient care to cancer patients through cancer care enhancements and new positions within the team. “To be able to offer a dedicated service to oncology is really important to us, but it’s also very meaningful to the patient,” she said.
