“I thought I was pretty close , but going off today’s training session I was nowhere near it so probably good decision by the docs,” Oliver told 7NEWS.“I didn’t realise how bad I actually was, foot feels fine, just a bit unfit.”Oliver also revealed he left hospital when “he probably shouldn’t have”, but shot down rumours it was to go for a run.“Definitely didn’t go for a run, I couldn’t run, I just wanted to get a change of clothes.
Melbourne have the bye this week but return to the field next Thursday night in a blockbuster against Geelong.“I’m not going to say yes because I said that against Collingwood and didn’t play against ... hope so,” he said.
