It was Oliver’s second-straight 30-plus disposal game to start a season where there were serious doubts, including from coach Simon Goodwin, and possibly himself, about whether he would return to his best. There was a chance the 26-year-old, who spent time away from the club during the pre-season to focus on his mental health, might not even be in red and blue only five months ago. As he ran to the bench late in the last quarter on Sunday – drawing a wide grin from the man himself – before Goodwin wrapped him in an extended hug.
