In Mapanas town, fishermen were reminded not to venture into the open sea since it is dangerous for them to do so.In the town of Oras, many barangays have reportedly flooded though no evacuees were reported.

Mayor Benjamin Ver of Jipapad town, also in Eastern Samar, made a video appeal to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and provincial officials for assistance. “Our funds are almost depleted. I appeal to our President, Bongbong Marcos; our governor, Ben Evardone; and congresswoman Fe Abunda to help us. We specifically need food and drinking water,” the town mayor said.In Leyte, suspension of classes and work remained in Tacloban City and in the towns of Palo, Jaro, Barugo, San Miguel, Santa, Fe, Alangalang, and Carigara, among others.
