JOHOR BARU: A civil servant is charged again at a Sessions Court here, this time with four counts of corruption.
Nurul Syahirah Omar, 31, claimed trial after the charges were read out in front of Sessions judge Ahmad Kamal Arifin Ismail here on Tuesday .
Nurul Syahirah was charged under Section 165 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum two years’ imprisonment, a fine or both upon conviction. Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission prosecution officer Nik Lokman Hakim Nik Mohd Nor prosecuted while lawyer Mohd Fazaly Ali Mohd Ghazaly represented the accused.
According to the charge sheet, she had used her position to get a quotation for Amir Barakah Enterprise.
