Two bodies found in two days

In an email, police said that they responded to a call at about 11 a.m. Wednesday reporting a body in the water “in an area of the Rideau Canal near the Mackenzie King Bridge.”Police and other responders located the body. As of 1:15 p.m., police, paramedics and a safety and rescue vehicle remained on scene, with personnel hauling oxygen tanks down to the canal.

She said a handful of police were down by the water at the time, with more at the scene by the time she circled back around 1 p.m.
