As Freeland spoke, Premier Doug Ford, who was standing behind her, nodded in approval. The two were on hand to announce a new battery storage facility. That’s a reference to the Liberal intergovernmental affairs minister’s rapport with the Progressive Conservative premier.the funding logjam began to ease last August over cigars Ford and LeBlanc shared on the latter’s cottage porch in New Brunswick.
