There's Christmas markets and holiday craft fairs aplenty this holiday season in Burnaby.
It’s craft fair season in Burnaby! As the holidays approach, there’s all kinds of fairs to browse, whether you want to attend the Japanese-focused Nikkei Craft Fair, the juried artisanal craft festival at Deer Lake, local independent vendors, or one of three Scandinavian-specific Christmas markets, Burnaby absolutely has you covered.
Deer Lake Craft Festival It’s the 50th anniversary of this juried craft festival and it will surely delight, with artisans including glass blowers, sculptors, pâtissiers, jam-makers, fashion and jewelry designers and more. Live entertainment from local performers will thrill guests.Nikkei Craft Fair This event has grown from a pop-up to a full-blown craft fair with more than 80 local vendors.
Edmonds Festival of Lights This annual community event is for children of all ages to participate in fun activities like decorating a sugar cookie, creating a bookmark and decorating a paper bag. Activity booths will host different activities like face painting – and don’t forget the most important holiday booth: Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, where you can visit Santa and get a candy cane. Live entertainment will run throughout, and hot dogs from the Burnaby Firefighters.
St. Stephen’s Christmas Market With a display of nativity scenes for market visitors to see, the St. Stephen’s Christmas Market, hosted by St. Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church, will have vendors including the St. Stephen’s Craft Group, Thyme and Rosemary Charcuterie, Bunny’s Makery Craft Chocolate and more.Cost: Free admission
