Chot Reyes liked how Gilas Pilipinas competed in the first half against world no. 18 Montenegro, but admitted that playing against a high-caliber squad like the Black Mountain requires little margin for error.

'This game make us really feel we're there at the World Cup, and the kind of team we're playing, they've been there as a team for a long time, with great talent, very smooth system,' Reyes said following the Philippine team's 102-87 defeat to Montenegro in their friendly match on Sunday evening, August 20.'Offensively and defensively, I like how we competed.

'We started the third quarter with three straight turnovers and they scored two three-pointers and they scored a two-point shot, so right away, an 8-0 run. That basically turned the tide,' explained the 60-year-old Reyes.'When we give good quality teams like Montenegro momentum like that, it would be very, very hard to recover,' he stressed.
