Now, the former world No. 1 men’s singles shuttler is keen to help the country’s current top shuttlers capture the elusive gold in the 2024 Paris OIympics.
The Badminton of Malaysia has proposed Chong Wei as the team manager for the badminton team’s Road to Gold high performance training programme. Currently, Lee Zii Jia , Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi , Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah , Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing and Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie have been selected in the programme.
“This is an enormous responsibility, but if appointed, I am ready to take it on and play my part to help Malaysia.
