Choir offers Broadway songs showcase at Knox Performance Centre

Nove Voce presents Broadway and Beyond on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.

An internationally acclaimed Prince George Choir will perform at Knox Performance Centre Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.

Nove Voce presents Broadway and Beyond, where audiences will enjoy classic musical pieces from Grease and South Pacific and hear some songs from new Broadway shows like Dear Evan Hansen, Six and Waitress. Songs include Opening Up from Waitress, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, Requiem from Dear Evan Hansen, Feed the Birds, Beauty School Drop Out, and Sit Down You’re Rockin the Boat

“We will be joined by Cantora Alegre directed by Kathy Pereira. This group of great performers will be doing numbers from Mamma Mia, Sister Act and Mary Poppins,” Robin Norman, Nove Voce choir director, said. “We will be including some beautiful pieces that will warm your heart like Gordon Lightfoot’s Songs for a Winter’s Night and some modern Canadian choral works like The Arrow and the Song by Alberta composer Laura Hawley. We are delighted to be performing in Prince George’s newest venue.
