Choco Mucho , a heavy favorite in the Premier Volleyball League ( PVL ) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference, had a shaky start but aims to address its weaknesses when the season resumes on January 14, 2025. Head coach Dante Alinsurin expressed satisfaction with the team's ability to adapt and perform despite lacking a fully healthy roster. Choco Mucho opened with a loss against Petro Gazz before defeating younger teams Galeries and Capital 1.
They then suffered back-to-back defeats against Cignal and Creamline. However, they ended the year with a hard-fought five-set victory over Farm Fresh, finishing with a 3-3 win-loss record.\Alinsurin emphasized the team's eagerness to win and expressed hope for a healthier roster in January. He stressed the need to maximize every player's potential and ensure everyone is ready when needed. The team faced significant challenges this season, including the loss of captain Maddie Madayag to Japan, limited playing time for Des Cheng due to an ACL injury, Kat Tolentino's ongoing adjustment to an auditory issue, Aduke Ogunsanya's torn ACL, and Deanna Wong's undisclosed injury. Despite these setbacks, Alinsurin remains optimistic about the team's progress, noting the improvement in individual skills and overall efficiency
