BEIJING: Three Chinese astronauts safely returned to Earth on Tuesday (Oct 31) after five months in orbit at the country's space station, state media reported.

Chinese astronauts for the Shenzhou-16 mission Gui Haichao, Zhu Yangzhu and Jing Haipeng wave as they attend a send-off ceremony ahead of their manned space mission at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China on May 30, 2023. Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao touched down at China's Dongfeng landing site at 8.11am , according to state broadcaster CCTV.
