A new Chinese airline is set to land in Sydney in the coming months, operating a route which was recently axed by Qantas due to low demand for its flights.
China's Juneyao airlines reveals it will soon start flying between Sydney and Shanghai , just weeks after Qantas axed the route
The airline - which currently does not fly to Australia - will be the ninth carrier to serve Sydney from mainland China, which the airport says is a new record. "The introduction of Juneyao's services in December provides passengers from mainland China with unprecedented choice and convenience when traveling to Sydney."
"In some months, our flights to and from Shanghai have been operating around half full," Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said in May.
