China says Philippines displayed ‘risky behavior’ during airdrop supply missions to Escoda Shoal

China described as “risky” the recent resupply missions of a Philippine-flagged aircraft to Escoda Shoal in the West Philippine Sea.

China claimed this ‘risky behavior’ can easily lead to accidents at sea and in the air, accusing the Philippines of infringing in its airspace. “We are telling the Philippines to immediately stop its adventurous behavior and sensationalism, immediately withdraw the 9701 ship on its own, and not to misjudge the situation or escalate the situation. Otherwise, the Philippines will be fully responsible for all consequences,” Yu added.
