While Tolchinsky did not know what items were being targeted in the home invasion, Crown prosecutors Lori Chambers and Kaitlyn Perrin theorize the bandits were after the 13 firearms Lewis kept in a gun safe in the home.Schimpf said he compared Sikora’s blood to DNA found on a wooden-handled knife discovered at the scene, and found a match.
Two areas of a piece of a disposable glove recovered from the burned-out Ford Edge found on Del Monica Place N.E. hours after the killing also had genetic material matching Sikora’s DNA profile, Schimpf said.Article content
