Throngs of Parisians have lined up to catch a glimpse of King Charles III and Queen Camilla as they arrived in France for a long-awaited three-day state visit.
Their Majesties attended a glittering state dinner at the Palace of Versailles where the two heads of state toasted to the warm relationship between France and the United Kingdom.
The royal couple was greeted by French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne as they stepped off the plane and down the red carpet at a windy Orly Airport on Wednesday afternoon. Ms Macron and Queen Camilla were spotted chatting animatedly after the ceremonial welcome and the foursome left the Champs-Elysees to head toward the Elysée Palace where the King and Mr Macron exchanged gifts.
