In interviews Tuesday evening with Radio-Canada and TVA, Brochu said her departure was not because she had obtained another position, because of her health or to go into politics. She said she was leaving with a “feeling of accomplishment.” Brochu “probably wanted a free rein but realized that she would face some major roadblocks,” François Bouffard, associate professor at McGill University’s department of electrical and computer engineering, said in an interview. Dubbed “Une Hydro,” or One Hydro, the plan created four new groups overseeing strategy and development; integrated energy needs planning; infrastructure and the energy system; and operations and customer experience.
