THE Police Regional Office in Central Visayas confiscated illegal drugs worth around P1 million during an intensive anti-criminality operation across the region.The series of operations, which took place from 6 a.m. on January 24, 2025, to 5:59 a.m. on January 25, led to the arrest of 27 individuals.According to PRO 7’s report, the police conducted 23 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the seizure of 114.73 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of P780,164.
In addition to the drug-related arrests, law enforcement officials apprehended 22 people involved in illegal gambling activities across various locations in Central Visayas, as part of 19 anti-illegal gambling operations.The operations also led to the capture of 21 wanted persons who had outstanding arrest warrants for various criminal cases. Among these arrests, one individual was identified as a most wanted person.
