In his report submitted to Police Regional Office 3- Central Luzon Director, Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, provincial director Colonel Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr, identified the suspect as Darlene Jane Mon, a resident of Sitio Mandaloy, Barangay Taltal, Masinloc, Zambales.Peñones said Mon, a member of the communist terrorist group, is listed as No. 1 most wanted in Zambales, and also marked Top 10 most wanted in Central Luzon.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by RTC, Branch 71, Iba, Zambales, for criminal cases of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and arson.
