Categories include outstanding individual, outstanding youth, outstanding caregiver, outstanding healthcare provider, outstanding advocate, and outstanding senior.
At 81 years old, Shaw comes from a generation that doesn’t often talk about their feelings, let alone their struggles. That’s why it was especially noteworthy when he began to publicly speak about his experience with mental illness. Robbie accepted his Outstanding Senior Award from Diane Campbell, president and CEO of The Berkeley Retirement Residences. The Berkeley is a long-time friend to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and an annual Let’s Keep Talking Award sponsor.
