Losing 27-2, the Cougars were disappointed with the result but nonetheless excited for their next matchup.
"We're just going to learn from our mistakes, watch film and correct everything. Come out next week and put it hard on Sydney," said running back Liam Legge."We had a lot of penalties that cost us a lot of field position, but if we clean those up, it can change the tide of the game," added middle linebacker Aidan Johnson.
The head coach, Shawn Davison, admits it was a challenging game for them but voiced pride in his team for keeping their heads up against their overwhelming opponent. "Every guy on the team came out and answered the call," said Davison."Their coach is happy, for the record." The Cougars will play the Sydney Academy Wildcats at the CEC field on Oct. 1. The game starts at 1 p.m.
