As the country continues to gear up toward the “new normal”, budget carrier Cebu Pacific urged its passengers to check-in online prior to their flights to lessen the risk of contracting the dreaded coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a statement, Cebu Pacific advised travelers to be at the airport at least two hours early as check-in counters will be closed one hour before their flights.

“Upon boarding, passengers will be required to hold out their boarding passes with the barcode facing the airline staff, for touchless scanning,” Cebu Pacific said in a statement. Unlike during the previous flights when the coronavirus pandemic has not yet erupted, airline crew will no longer assist passengers stowing their own hand-carry bags in the overhead bins. Passengers are now also required to practice self-disposal of trash at the end of the flight as part of the changes in the airline’s inflight experience.
