Gokongwei-led budget carrier Cebu Pacific is closing the year with the delivery of its 17th aircraft for 2024, bringing its commercial fleet to 91.In a news release, Cebu Pacific said it received the delivery of a new A321neo aircraft, which touched down Manila on December 24.The delivery of the 236-seater aircraft, it said, serves as a milestone for the airline as it aims to enhance its operational capacity and expand further its network.

Cebu Pacific said Airbus NEOs are the latest-generation aircraft that burn 15% less fuel per flight and produce less noise compared to the previous generation. The reduction in fuel consumption leads to a corresponding reduction in aircraft carbon emissions, the airline added.On October 2, Cebu Pacific signed a landmark purchase agreement with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, for up to 152 A321neo aircraft, equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.
