THE track and field events of the Cebu City Olympics were rescheduled to January 2025 due to ongoing repairs of the rubberized track oval at the Cebu City Sports Center, an official from the Department of Education -Cebu City confirmed on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
To accommodate the curing process of the newly repaired rubber patch on the track, Francis Ramirez, division sports officer of DepEd-Cebu City, announced that all track and field events will now take place during the first week of January, despite the Cebu City Olympics originally being scheduled from December 13 to 18, 2024.
