A deadly fire in Cambodia has killed at least 19 people and left dozens injured as authorities fear the death toll could rise after several victims were unable to escape the burning building.
Thai rescue workers who responded to emergency calls said some victims had jumped from the burning building in a desperate attempt to escape.
"The number of deaths may reach more than 20," said Sek Sokhom, head of the Banteay Meanchey provincial information department.At least 19 people have been killed with dozens left injured after a fire broke out at a Cambodian casino-hotel complex. It is believed it took six hours for rescue crews to get the fire under control and more than 12 hours for it to be put out.
