Steven Hunter, 59, and Tim Coderre, 61, are charged under the Reopening Ontario Act for gathering that occurred at former Sister Mary Clare elementary school
Two local men facing charges stemming from an alleged "illegal indoor event" that took place during the height of COVID-19 restrictions earlier this year made another brief court appearance Wednesday.They are accused of failing to comply with an order not to host or organize an indoor public event.Assistant Crown attorney Matthew Caputo said that a brief meeting he had with the accused had indicated the matter "is not resolvable at this time."Coderre and Hunter agreed.
The two men were charged Feb. 4, following an Investigation by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Algoma Public Health that began on Jan. 27.
