FARMERS' group Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura on Wednesday said that the investigation of the House of Representatives' Committee on Agriculture and Food proved that the cartel which killed the garlic industry is the same group involved in the manipulation in supply and prices of onions.

He said that the personalities involved in the garlic cartel were still operating despite the filing of cases against them.'Why are certain individuals already charged by the NBI and named by the Senate as involved in uncompetitive behavior still allowed to import onions and continue with their trading activities?' Cainglet asked.During the hearing of the House committee, Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo cited a letter from the Office of the Secretary of the DA dated Aug.
