Canadians did not vote to put the unions in charge, and yet that is what has happened

The unions operate under the delusion that spending on public workers is actually a boon to the economy, as opposed to simply a necessary expense for the state to operate. Accordingthat outlines many of its demands: “Wages that public sector employees spend make their way throughout the productive economy instead of being squirrelled away as private company profits.”
Raising taxes puts a strain on workers who have less disposable income. For corporations, higher taxes discourages the investments that would lead to new jobs. The existence of good high paying jobs in government often comes at the expense of good jobs in business.
