There was no reason, based on parliamentary convention, to turn the Telford motion into a confidence vote
tactics to call into question the outcome of the last election, despite no one actually doing so.
Liberals obviously wish it were this easy, but suggesting that asking questions about the prime minister’s ethics is akin to allegations of traitorous behaviour is unbecoming of a democratically elected government.
