Philippine police in the Caraga region have made significant strides in law enforcement by apprehending 40 wanted individuals, including two high-profile regional fugitives, during a 15-day operation.
Police in the Caraga region of the Philippines have apprehended 40 individuals wanted by law enforcement , including two Regional Top Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), from January 1st to 15th. One of the suspects, identified as alias Bab, was listed as the Regional Top 1 MWP. He was facing multiple charges, including two counts of murder, two counts of frustrated murder, and three counts of attempted murder. According to Police Major Jennifer S.
Ometer, the chief of PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO), Bab was allegedly a former member of the Guerilla Front 19-A, Sub-Regional Committee Southland, CPP-NPA Northeastern Mindanao Regional Committee, operating in Surigao del Sur. Another high-profile arrest involved alias Carl, a 75-year-old man apprehended in Bacuag, Surigao del Norte. He was listed as the Regional Top 4 MWP for rape and was denied bail. All the suspects are currently under the custody of their arresting units pending commitment orders from the courts. Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) Director, Police Brigadier General Oliver Enmodias Abrahano, attributed the success of these operations to the unwavering support and collaboration of the community. He emphasized that the arrests demonstrate their commitment to maintaining peace and order in Caraga and delivering justice to the victims.
