Vehicles destroyed by fire, Brisbane unit complex evacuated
A 2016 Audi A3, believed to be linked to the death of a man who was shot in the chest at close range by an armed group in Brisbane, has been destroyed by a fire that spread to other vehicles and caused an evacuation at a unit complex.
After releasing footage of a 2016 Audi A3 driving through the street in the early hours of Tuesday morning, police received leads of the vehicle driving through the CBD one to two hours before the crime. Detectives said the Inala man approached the four men and a woman, armed with a 12-gauge shotgun and possibly a handgun, and wasSuperintendent Andrew Massingham said the Audi was reported as the subject of the Dutton Park fire on Wednesday night.
Massingham said the man and a 26-year-old woman, who was arrested at North Quay in Brisbane’s CBD on Tuesday for unrelated matters, were both persons of interest in the Corinda shooting.
