Police are appealing for any vision that may assist in locating the driver of a vehicle who fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian and crashing into a parked car.
New South Wales Police were told a blue Toyota Yaris hatchback was travelling west along Oxford Street in Surry Hills before it turned into Wentworth Avenue on Monday night.
The driver did not stop and continued travelling along Wentworth Avenue where it hit a parked SUV and caught fire.Emergency services were called to the intersection of Oxford Street and Wentworth Avenue at about 11:30pm where people in the area were assisting the injured man.
