The Cape Breton High School Hockey League playoffs begin on Tuesday. JEREMY FRASER/CAPE BRETON POSTSYDNEY, N.S. – The Cape Breton High School Hockey League will kick off its playoffs on Tuesday.
The opening round of the playoffs will see the first-place Riverview Ravens will play the fourth-place Sydney Academy Wildcats while the second-place Glace Bay Panthers will meet the third-place Memorial Marauders .The playoffs will open with Game 1 of the best-of-three series between the Ravens and Wildcats on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre. Game 2 is slated for Friday at 8 p.m. at the Cape Breton County Recreation Centre in Coxheath.
Meanwhile, the Panthers and Marauders will begin their series on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Emera Centre Northside in North Sydney. Game 2 will be played at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Miners Forum in Glace Bay. Game 3, if needed, will be announced at a later date. The series winners will move on and play for the School Sport Nova Scotia Highland Region championship.
