The Canada Winter Games will begin in Prince Edward Island this weekend. CONTRIBUTEDNORTH SYDNEY, N.S. — Several Cape Bretoners will look to bring medals home across the Canso Causeway when they take part in the Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island.
The Nova Scotians will open their schedule on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. against Alberta, before facing British Columbia on Monday at 12:30 p.m. The final round-robin game will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Ontario. Nova Scotia will open the event on Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. against Alberta, before facing Ontario on Feb. 28 at 4 p.m., and Manitoba on March 1 at 4 p.m.
Mitchell Jenkins of Glace Bay will compete for the province in judo. The sport will run from March 1-4 in Charlottetown.
