Decisions with and without the puck have been hammered into him in practice and via video because there’s another side to his game that teases.
He snapped a first-period wrist shot from the slot that beat Kevin Boyle to the stick side for his seventh goal and his first in eight games. He then drifted from his defensive-zone check in the same frame. Goldobin then just missed scoring at the side of the net off a spirited rush in the third period and finished with two shots and six attempts.
