Cancerous Substance Claim: Health Ministry Orders Voluntary Recall Of Affected Ah Lai Instant Noodle Batch | TRP

The Ministry of Health is also looking into other instant noodle brands in the local market.

Following the finding of cancer-causing substances present in a Malaysian instant noodle brand by the Taipei Health Department, Malaysia’s Health Ministry has ordered a recall of the affected batch in the local market.

The health ministry has instructed the manufacturer to voluntarily recall the batch that expires on Aug 25 from the local market. Based on a review of data from the Food Safety Information System of Malaysia, the Ministry of Health has also confirmed that Indomie: Special Chicken Flavour noodles from Indonesia had also been imported into Malaysia.
