OTTAWA - Canadian housing starts decreased by 1% in April from the previous month, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation data showed on Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted annualized rate of housing starts rose to 240,229 units from a marginally revised 242,267 units in March, the CMHC said. Economists in a Reuters poll had expected starts to decrease to 238,000 in April.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
