“So that’s we did at the time. That was our business model. And, even today, it’s exactly the same thing. We design our own shoes, we manufacture them and we sell them directly to the consumer. So, I’m very proud of what happened.”“Over 50 years, every brand goes through ups and downs. And, you have to be resilient,” Bensadoun says. “You have to be strong to stay alive. And, basically, to stick to your goals and to your purpose.
“The other difficult one was to grow and to open in the United States. Here we are, a small company, and who are we to try to compete against those giants in the United States? And we decided to go ahead, and it was a big success.
