“We know that this vaccine also generates a good immune response against the Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 that have more recently emerged. This booster is also intended to extend the durability of protection,” she added. Wednesday, Ontario’s top doctor Kieran Moore announced the province was scrapping mandatory five-day isolation for COVID-19 positive individuals as part of an “all respiratory virus” approach.
