Wallabies’ legend David Campese has slammed Rugby Australia’s management and called for an inquiry to find out what led to the Wallabies' first group stage exit at the Rugby World Cup.

Rugby Australia had $40 million in the bank and was arguably the leading football code in the country in the early 2000s but has slumped to its lowest level since in recent years.

Former Wallaby David Campese is a passionate rugby fan and has now called a major inquiry into how Rugby Australia reached its lowest point. The Wallabies World Cup year was filled with turmoil which began with the sudden sacking of coach David Rennie because McLennan wanted to see Eddie Jones return after 18 years overseas.

“I’d love to get on the board but I don’t know how to get on the board and obviously my public school background won’t get me on the board,” he said.
