Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park. - Jason MalloyCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The wins kept rolling for Marc Campbell with a Saturday afternoon six-pack at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Jan. 28.

The driver, who is from Orwell, P.E.I., won over half of the 11-dash program at Red Shores to give him 16 wins so far in 2023 from just 30 drives. This is the beginning of the 14th straight season that Campbell has led the driving colony in Charlottetown.Campbell teamed up with Premier Joy A in race 2 for the claiming gelding’s sixth straight victory, this time in 1:56.3 for trainer Colin Johnson. Campbell and Johnson came right back to win in race 3 with Truckem in 2:02.

Middleton Terror captured the race 10 preferred pace for a $3,300 purse in line to trainer David Dowling for owners Kingsley Walsh of Albany and Frank Balcom of Nova Scotia. It was the third straight win for the four-year-old son of Stonebridge Terror. Blood Money was sent to the front in the top class through splits of 28.2, 57.4 and 1:28.1 with Middleton Terror sitting second. The race came down to the final quarter as the backfield tried their luck on the outside but a tripped out Middleton Terror came charging at the wire to win by one-and-a-half lengths in 1:57.4. Stash It Away was second ahead of Mantario .
