Calgary Stampeders boost ailing receiving corps, re-sign Marken Michel CFL

Begelton was pulled off the six-game, which is big, although he might not be available this weekend against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.And, most notably, they announced that they’d re-signed receiver Marken Michel, a key part of the 2018 Grey Cup-winning team who has spent the last four season in and around the NFL.
“He’s strong, he’s a worker, I think he can do lots of different things. He’s good after the catch but is good on his routes, he can run, but he’s not small. Those are the types of guys who stay down south a while,” said Stampeders GM/head coach Dave Dickenson. “It took a lot of work, because Marken can probably speak for himself but sometimes when you go down there for multiple, multiple years you know that when you come back up, a lot of times that’s where you’re going to be for a while.
“He had to be comfortable with that. We were ready to make the move, it just took a lot of work and got it done late Friday night.”
